"How do I know that you're actually going to Ethan's house, you could be lying to me again." Abbie crossed her arms with a stern look etched onto her face. Chloe tugged at her hair out of frustration and wailed her arms in the air. "You know what, fine, Ethan will come here then, god, you're annoying."
Abbie felt a small smile creep its way up to her face as she finally won a fight with Chloe.
Just like Chloe had said, Ethan came over and they were both up in her room, laying in her bed as they both stared up at the ceiling and continued their mindless conversation.
"Here's what you do, I would take you with my mom and I to go to Walmart where we could steal some supplies and necessitates to survive, then I think I would drive us up into the woods or something because since there's barely any people there, then there would be barely any zombies and we would be safe."
Ethan continued his plan on what he would do if there to be a zombie Apocalypse right at this moment. "I think I steal a helicopter, with the pilot in it because I don't know how to drive a helicopter and then I would crash. I don't know, do you know how to drive a helicopter?"
Chloe turned over, facing Ethan as she ran her fingers slightly up his arm and all the way up to his hair where she soothingly combed her fingers through it. "Who does."
He hummed, his eyes closing with the sensation that Chloe gave him. Chloe stared at his face, mesmerized by the breath taking boy, and she couldn't help but lean over and press a short kiss to his lips. His eyes instantly opened and he stared at her with confusion. Chloe's cheek's flushed as she back away from him and apologized. For a moment, she had felt like the stupidest person in the world to have bent down and gave her friend a kiss whom might not even like her the way she did him, but then Ethan had took it upon himself to plop rosemary onto his laying frame as he pressed his mouth to hers, groaning at the fact at how soft her lips were. Chloe could feel her skin heat up and the elephant sized butterflies in her stomach pounding at her rib cage as she knew right then that Ethan had feelings for her too. It made her so happy just to be lying in this bed with Ethan, let alone the fact that she was now straddling him and kissing him. And as Ethan's fingers reached for the hem of her shirt, Abbie busted into the room, explaining that someone was at the door to see Chloe. Abbie's cheeks flushed as she saw the two teenagers in front of her as she apologized and fled the room. Ethan could only quietly chuckle and Chloe gave him a small smile before pressing a chaste kiss to his lips. She got off of him and tugged him with her downstairs, her hand entwining with his as they made their way to the front door. And she opened the door, her eyes widened and her heart nearly dropped to her feet as she stared at Daniel who stood on her porch with a paper in one hand and a bouquet of flowers in the other.
Chapter 19
Chloe dropped Ethan's hand all too quickly as she stared at Daniel, not knowing what to say.
"W-what are you doing here?" Chloe quietly asked.
Daniel stood there, his eyes only trained on Chloe and completely oblivious to Ethan as he grew nervous and began reading off of the paper he wrote for her.
"Roses are red, Violets are blue, Chloe you're the only girl I give a shit about. Uhh- Oh- Chloe, I love you more than blueberries, And your hair always smells like cherries. Chloe you are the bomb, So will you go to prom... with me?"
Chloe could only stare at Daniel in shock as he read his poem out to her. Sure it wasn't the best thing to be ever written, but he did try and that made her heart melt.
She smiled at Daniel, stepping out of the house and right onto the porch in front of him as she brought her hand up to his cheek to caress his skin. Daniel gave her a small smile, his cheeks bashfully blushing red until his head flew to the side due from the impact on Chloe slapping him. The slap was too hard that even Ethan flinched from behind, watching the two with crossed arms. Ethan stared at the two, watching Chloe spit out means words at Daniel and how had supposedly betrayed her. Ethan could only think what the hell is going on? as he watched Chloe take the flowers out of Daniel's hand and fly them onto the ground where she repeatedly stepped on it. "You ruin my life and have the audacity to come to my house and ask me to prom? God, I can't believe you!" Chloe hit at Daniel's chest. Although not knowing who Daniel was and what was happening, Ethan was glad that Chloe had said no to going to prom with him. Maybe he was an ex-boyfriend who clung onto Chloe, Ethan thought. "How did I ruin your life? All I asked you was to go to prom with me, God." Daniel frowned, rubbing at his cheek. He hadn't known what he had done wrong and what made Chloe upset with him. All he knew was that Chloe had been avoiding him for almost a month now and that she was out of school already which made him upset. And the fact that He worked so hard on his poem about Chloe and asked her to prom only to be shut down made him feel more worse. "Are you kidding me? You can quit pretending like you didn't send out the video of me to everyone. I know about it, okay?" Chloe spoke and Daniel's eyes had widened. The whole buzz about Chloe and the video had dropped in school already and so Daniel had completely forgotten about that. "Shit," Daniel mumbled, "I'm sorry about that, I didn't mean to send it out to everyone, it was an accident. You know I would never do anything to hurt you." Daniel apologized.
"But that's the thing, You did hurt me. Who cares if it was an accident, the least you could have done was be honest with me and tell me that it was you who did it. Sure, I would've been mad at you but I forgive, Y'know. And to see that you lied to me about it all just makes me sick." Chloe wanted to cry again because she really thought that Daniel was perfect, he held this special place in her heart and now all of that and him were going down the drain because of something he didn't confess up to. Ethan could see the discomfort and the sadness growing on Chloe's face, so he took it upon himself to wrap his arm around her and bring her back into the house, dismissing Daniel from the situation. "You should get out of here, you're making her upset." Ethan mumbled to Daniel, comforting Chloe as she began to cry softly. He didn't like seeing her so upset, he just wanted to go back inside and calm down Chloe before she could get even more frustrated.
Daniel stared at Ethan, acknowledging his arm slung around Chloe, and stared at him with such jealousy and anger, he had thought that Chloe was his and not to share with anyone else, but apparently he was wrong.
"And who the fuck are you? You should mind your own business before I fucking rip your head off." Daniel spit. Ethan wasn't looking for a fight, he wasn't one to engage in such violent activities, but the way he was speaking to him and making rosemary upset was enough to make Ethan want to slam Daniel's head onto the pavement beside them. "I'm.." Ethan couldn't think of whether he'd want to introduce himself as Chloe's boyfriend, or just a friend. He had thought he felt rather like a boyfriend to Chloe, let alone the fact that they were making out earlier, surely he meant more than a friend to her. "I'm her friend, but that doesn't matter- You're making her upset so you should just leave, it's not that hard to get into your crap car and drive away." Ethan spoke, frowning a bit as he introduced himself as a friend of Chloe's. "Oh, sure, Chloe has a lot of friends. I bet she's slept with you, yeah, she sleeps around with a lot of people, don't be surprised if she breaks your heart and sleeps with her therapist because she will." Daniel seethed and that made Chloe look up at him with glossy eyes and a gaping open mouth. She couldn't believe Daniel had just said that about her and neither could Daniel himself. He was just so angry about Chloe turning him down for prom and angry that Ethan was her shoulder to cry on, not him, that he felt hurt and wanted to hurt rosemary along with him. Ethan stared at him in confusion. Chloe goes to therapy? For what? He didn't believe what Daniel was saying about her sleeping around, I mean sure, Chloe has told him about the principal incident, but she seemed so self-conscious and shy a lot of times that she didn't seem like the type to sleep around with guys.
"Get out of here, Daniel." Chloe spoke with her teeth gritting.
"Why are you afraid of your boy toy finding out about you going to therapy? Too late. She goes to therapy
because she's, like, addicted to sex or something, so if you're ever going to ask her out, I'll save you the trouble and just tell you that I guarantee you she will cheat on you because you're just not enough, isn't that right, Chloe?" Daniel spoke and Chloe looked down at the floor, quietly mumbling out for him to please stop. Ethan stared at Chloe, waiting for an explanation to come out of this. Truth was that Ethan really did want to be able to call Chloe his girlfriend, but hearing those words come out Daniel's mouth, he wasn't too sure on anything anymore. Ethan didn't want to get cheated on. He didn't even know that Chloe attended therapy sessions. "I don't go to therapy because of that." Chloe spoke up.
"Then why do you go, huh?" Daniel asked and Chloe's mouth zipped shut. She was too embarrassed to tell the real reason why she had to attend therapy and why she was so fucked up.
"I don't have to tell you, it's not your business." Chloe pathetically mumbled. She wanted to prove to them that she wasn't addicted to sex like Daniel had said she was, but she couldn't and wouldn't tell them the truth behind it all. "See, because you know I'm right." Daniel spit. He looked at Chloe one last time before scoffing at walking away to where he got into his supposedly crap car and left. Chloe could only watch as he drove off, wiping away the tears that were already drying into her skin. She tugged on Ethan's hand, mumbling a soft C'mon as she walked into the house but he stood there in place on the porch. "Why do you go therapy, I want the truth." Ethan mumbled to her, wanting answers himself. Chloe sighed and looked away from him.
"I- I can't tell you, Ethan, I'm sorry." She quietly mumbled and Ethan just nodded, his heart seeming to stop and freeze up.
"I gotta get going, My mom's probably wondering where I am." Ethan spoke, making Chloe frown as she bit on her lip and nodded. She knew that Ethan was lying and just wanted to get away from her, but she wasn't going to stop him, he had a right to be upset with her. "I'll see you tomorrow?" Chloe asked.
"I don't know, I might be a bit busy tomorrow." Ethan rubbed at his arm. Chloe hung her head low, just the other day Ethan had said that he was free and that Chloe could come over to his house too just chill with him. "Oh."
"I'll call you tonight, okay?" Ethan spoke and Chloe nodded. And that night as she waited eagerly with her phone on her nightstand, the time had passed and she drifted to sleep without receiving a phone call from Ethan like he said.
Chapter 20
"I think I'm going to go study in my room," Ethan mumbled to his mother before looking Chloe into the eyes, "Alone." He gathered his books and fled from the table, hearing the loud slam of his bedroom door indicating that he didn't want to be bothered by anyone- Especially Chloe.
"Did something happen between you two that I missed?" His mother asked Chloe, grading her paper that she had just finished. Chloe sighed as she leaned back into the hard wooden chair, wishing she wasn't in such a deep mess.
"This guy I know kind of brought up some old stuff about me in front of Ethan and it was just- I don't know I guess Ethan just needs some time to himself." Chloe lamely spoke. She wasn't going to go and admit to his mother that she had been sleeping around with her therapist, she didn't even want to bring up being in therapy because then she knows that she would have to answer the one question she has been avoiding every single day- why.
Ethan's mother could only hum in response as she handed the fully graded paper back to Chloe, looking over it and seeing that she got every single question correct.
Ethan's mother and Chloe went over her calculus homework, reviewing the mathematical concept for a while, making Chloe ultimately bored. She needed Ethan to be out here and entertain her just by being his cute self, but he had been ignoring her since the day he left her house.
Earlier, She tried to play footsie with him under the table like how he would to her, but Ethan ended up sitting criss-crossed in his seat, his legs high up and out of Chloe's reach which made her even further upset. She wanted to apologize to Ethan and come clean to him, but it was too hard to explain, she was sure that Ethan would think of her differently once he found out how truly her life was fucked up and she didn't want to lose Ethan who was dearly important to her.
Ethan had just walked out of his bedroom and moved towards the kitchen as he began raiding the cabinets for some food, to be specific, Nutella.
"So, have you applied to any colleges yet?" Ethan's mother asked Chloe.
"Yes, actually, Ethan and I were looking at some California universities, it seems really fun there. And if that doesn't work out, I've also applied to go to New York." Chloe mumbled and Ethan dropped all the food in his hand, his eyes bulging as he turned around, looking at Chloe.
Even with being angry at Chloe now, He knew they were going to have a future together and wanted to go to the same college so that they could be with each other still, he didn't want her to leave to new York- to leave him. But little did he know that she had done this out of sadness, thinking that Ethan was pretty much done with her and that he wouldn't want her following him to college so she applied for somewhere else opposite of where he had been wanting to go.
"New York is very fun, I’ll have you know I went there and I swear I fell in love with the place. The shops are to die for." Ethan's mother smiled, thinking of her first trip to New York. Chloe could feel a small smile rising to her face as she imagined herself on the busy streets of the city with shopping bags filled in her arms.
Taken out of her day dreams by the large grandfather clock chiming, she looked at the time and muttered a soft cursed word. She hadn't noticed that she had lost track of time and had been over at Ethan's house for too long. She was supposed to be at Robert's house for their session.
"What is, dear?"
"I'm late for this- uhh- this therapy session thing I have to go. I didn't realize it was almost three." She gathered up her things into her bag as she got up from the table.
"You attend therapy? For what?" Ethan's mother asked.
"She's addicted to sex, mom." Ethan chimed in, dipping his spoon back into the Nutella jar as he stared at rosemary with no emotion. Chloe couldn't bear to look at his mother, not wanting to see the judgmental stare as she shook her head at Ethan.
"You know I'm not in therapy because of that, Ethan." Chloe quietly spoke. Ethan could only scoff as he set his the jar down and crossed his arms, staring at Chloe with such a strange look in his eyes.
"Do I?"
Chloe sighed, not even bothering to bid a goodbye as she left the house, getting into her Volkswagen and driving to Robert's house where he had been waiting for her for the past fifteen minutes. When she arrived, Robert was already hard and stroking himself while he sat at the foot of his bed. Even with that being said, Chloe had completely ignored it and asked if he could put some clothes on and if they could have a normal therapy session for once. She really needed someone to talk to about all of this, she wanted actual help, she didn't want sex.
"Maybe afterwards we can, Right now I'm hard as fuck and I need you badly." Robert groaned and Chloe sighed, shaking her head.
"Please, Robert? I need someone to talk to and-"
"God, You're gonna make me soft if you keep talking." Robert spoke, giving Chloe cold eyes as she bit the inside of her cheek, sighing as she begin to rid herself from her clothes. She just wanted Robert to listen to her problems for once, but he didn't want to and that made her upset to an extent.
And as she laid in his bed flat on her stomach while he fucked her from behind, she bit on her lip to prevent herself from crying out. Tears drops fell from her eyes, every single drop of tears being from every single problem she had going on in her life. Her mom was somewhere out in the world doing god knows what, Her fucking bastard of a shit dad was nowhere to be found, Her seemingly almost relationships with Daniel and Ethan were completely destroyed, and Robert her therapist was fucking her over. She could only wish now that she had jumped off the building when she met Ethan, she should have, it would've been better than living this shit life.
And as Rober
t pulled out of her, his come landing onto all of her back, he gave a quick pat to her ass walked to his dresser for some clean boxers. He figured that he would make Chloe leave now so that he could have some time to himself to relax and take a nice hot shower. Chloe felt completely disgusted with herself, wiping her back onto the sheets of the bed as she climbed into the blankets and asked Robert if he could lay down with her just this once. Robert sighed, not wanting to but did anyway as he climbed into the bed right next to her.
"How much do you love me?"
Their nude bodies were pressed together, the sound of their heavy breathing was the only audible sound in the room as they laid in the own comfort of his mattress. Underneath the thin dull sheet, his hand drew circles onto her back, long fingers softly caressing her skin as her eyes flutter with each movement.
"More than you'll ever know."
He always told her he loved her, but she knew better than to believe that. He was in love with her body, and the fact that he could take advantage of her without getting a consequence.
He was supposed to help her get better. He wasn't to mistreat her and use her for intimate purposes.
He's a sinner.
However, she was one too simply because she let him do this to her.
"I hope one day you'll love me for me and not for my body," Chloe sadly mumbled, confessing to him. Robert could only withdraw his hand as he stared at her in remorse. He had thought that Chloe was always clueless, thinking that he truly loved her like a companion. He thought wrong and for that, he finally felt sorry for the poor girl.
